21. I send also a list of proposed machines for

examination. I think in order to have theshop in working

order as soon as possible these machines should be ordered

soon to come out say next October. If you let me know

definitely the machines and their probable cost I can send

an indent to cover the transaction.

2. For these shops and also for the building of the

carriages skilled European supervision will be required.

For open line work also a Loco. Superintendent will be

required. I spoke to Mr.A.J.Barry on the subject when he

was here and he said he would bring the matter before you

on his arrival home with a view to appointing such a man

as would be responsible for the erection of machinery in

the workshops and the building of Rolling Stock and who

might eventually look after the Rolling Stock when the line

was open for traffic.
