21. I send also a list of proposed machines for
examination. I think in order to have theshop in working
order as soon as possible these machines should be ordered
soon to come out say next October. If you let me know
definitely the machines and their probable cost I can send
an indent to cover the transaction.
2. For these shops and also for the building of the
carriages skilled European supervision will be required.
For open line work also a Loco. Superintendent will be
required. I spoke to Mr.A.J.Barry on the subject when he
was here and he said he would bring the matter before you
on his arrival home with a view to appointing such a man
as would be responsible for the erection of machinery in
the workshops and the building of Rolling Stock and who
might eventually look after the Rolling Stock when the line
was open for traffic.
